Paddy Power wanted a new visual strategy for the 2018 World Cup. We’d never heard term “visual strategy” before, but we did know the tournament was being held in Russia and that turning footballers and other relevant characters into Russian dolls could be pretty funny.
Of course, given what’s happened in the years since, you could say that ads starring Vladimir Putin haven’t exactly aged well… Nonetheless here they are for your viewing (dis)pleasure.
