Control Joe

Using a combination of 7 iPhones, 3 GoPros and enough data to stream The Lord of Rings trilogy in HD (Directors cut with audio commentary), Control Joe was a personal project for the MS Society. One that subjected Joe to the whims and wants of strangers on the internet… What could possibly go wrong?

Turns out, other than a few embarrassing moments, not a lot. We racked up over 5000 Twitch views, were featured in the Guardian as well as a host of local papers and Joe was even invited to talk (and then instructed to bark) on BBC radio during the event itself.

The event proved so successful that we were contacted by the MS Society themselves, who then worked with us to put on a Control Joe 2.0 which took place 6 months later in Brighton. It went on to gather 1.19 million impressions.
